What’s better than seeing Magic Kingdom’s fireworks?  Having your own reserved seat and dessert while you watch!

We were looking for something new to do at Magic Kingdom and that is when we found out about a special add on ticket for Disney’s Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party! There were two we could select at Tomorrowland Terrace…. one that has dessert than you move out to a special plaza viewing area for the fireworks show or we could reserve a seat, have dessert and watch the fireworks.  Since this was our first experience with a fireworks dessert party we chose to pay just a little more to have a reserved seat!

So you are thinking, why would I want to pay extra to see fireworks when I can stand anywhere and see them for free?!  Well that’s what we thought too, but we are so glad we tried this out!  Because after all we were looking for a magical experience!

First we picked a night and made our reservations with Disney.  And when the day came, all we had to do was go the Tomorrowland Terrace, located to the right of Main Street USA, and check in about 60 minutes before the fireworks show.  We were given a wrist band and escorted to our reserved table and told to help ourselves to dessert!

The dessert buffet featured lots of yummy sweet treats like:

Macaroons and pineapple delights

Oreo Mickey treats

Chocolate Raspberry Cake

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate Marshmallow tarts

Cheese and Fruit

There was also an ice cream sundae table and create your own cookie table.

They also offered an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks including lemonade, passion orange guava juice, strawberry lemonade, unsweetened tea, milk, coffee, hot tea and sparkling apple cider!

We filled our plates and headed back to our seats and waited for the fireworks show!

Our impressions

We highly recommend it!  Perfect viewing and it was so nice not to fight the crowds to view the fireworks show.

And it was really cool to see Tinker Bell fly right above you!

Of course this wouldn’t be something to do every time you want to view the fireworks, but it is perfect for a special occasion or just because you want to try something new!

Photopass photographers are on hand to take your picture and after the show they handed us a bag of Ghirardelli chocolates!  Best part, when you exit the park we took a little back way, away from the crowd leaving the park on Main Street.

So now we think it’s time to try the dessert parties at Epcot and Hollywood Studios… for blog research of course!
